It's very on-brand but it's also to accommodate client's who work 9-5s, who are nightlife workers, who live out of town, or who just prefer evening appointments.
I currently charge an hourly rate of $80 an hour. I’ve previously worked for a corporate-owned salon that used service-based pricing and it was not a good fit for me simply because I felt I was overcharging for my work in an environment that didn't prioritize the client's experience, very much a "get in - get out" sort of vibe. I couldn't justify someone spending almost $300 for 2 hours of my time because I had to charge à la carte.
As an independent stylist, the salon I work in does not provide front desk services. I also like to give each of my guests 100% of my attention when they are in my chair so I am unable to answer calls immediately. This is also why I utilize an online booking system as well as a new client consultation form.

"Punx" is another way of writing punk, often used for straight-edge punks.
